The museum has a very active 'Friends' organisation that supports the museum in a variety of ways. Volunteers help with education and curatorial work and run the Trowbridge Museum shop. They also purchase items for the museum and provide grants for conservation and education. The friends also meet socially on a regular basis for a range of events including lectures, historic walks, day trips and meetings.
