Annual Town Meeting
The Annual Town Meeting is not a meeting of the Council, but a meeting of the whole town. It is normally held in April. At the Annual Town Meeting the Mayor and Council's Committee Chairs give reports on the activities of the Town Council during the previous financial year. Residents of the town are then able to ask questions on any matters relating to the Town Council or the town in general. The Annual Town Meeting is followed by the Town Gathering at which the Town Council presents certificates to people who have made a significant contribution to the community.
Council and Committee Meetings
Meetings of the Full Council and Committees normally take place on a Tuesday evening at 7pm (unless otherwise indicated) at the Civic Centre. Members of the public are welcome to attend all of our meetings and ask questions on matters relevant to the work of the committee. Agendas for meetings are posted on notice boards at the Civic Centre the week before each meeting and on our website. Minutes of recent meetings and meetings scheduled for the next few weeks are shown below, including access to agenda and reports when available.
