The Olympic Torch passed through Trowbridge on Tuesday 22nd May.

Councillor David Halik was elected Mayor for the Civic Year 2013-2014.
Civic Centre
The Civic Centre opened on 10th December 2011: almost one year on, the Centre has gone from strength to strength as one of the premier conference and entertainment venues in the West Country. Pancake Race 2013
Shrove Tuesday saw hundreds of people in Fore Street gather for all of the thrills of this annual event. The team relay was won by Trowbridge Police, with Kirsty Gilbert from Asda winning the ladies' race and Adam Maud from the Amber Foundation taking the mens' title. Organiser Maryrose Mantle of Trowbridge Town Council said "It was brilliant fun with everyone taking part in good spirit, as always".
