What We Can Provide
Where can we take the kids this weekend? . . . How can I get to Nottingham by train on the 18th? . . . How often does the bus to Swindon leave Trowbridge? . . . It's all in a day's work for your local Information Centre . . .
The Centre is situated within the newly-refurbished Trowbridge Civic Centre, in Trowbridge Park. Amongst the many services on offer to the public you'll find tickets on National Express coaches (including a daily service from Trowbridge to
London
Victoria) and Eurolines buses, for travel to the continent. If you prefer to 'ease the strain by taking the train', the Centre is also an official Association of Train Operating Companies agency, and can provide an informative and concise service including the sale of competitively-priced rail tickets of all varieties (Advance Singles, 'Off-Peak' and 'Anytime' Returns); additionally, 16-25, Family & Friends and Senior railcards can be purchased from the Centre.
Are we there yet . . . ?
So, where to go, and what to do? The Centre can inform you of any local events taking place (and don't forget, if you have an upcoming event, please e-mail mike.holden@trowbridge.gov.uk and he'll include it in the Local Events section of our webpage. There are also listings providing details of the best live music and comedy events in and around the town). We also stock a range of free literature on many destinations and attractions, both in and around Trowbridge and throughout the
UK. (If we don't have a brochure on the area you're interested in, we'll email or call the appropriate local Tourist Office and arrange to have one posted to you.) You can also book tickets here for coach excursions throughout the year with Chandler's of Westbury - just ask for details!
That's entertainment!
During the spring and summer months, the Centre acts as agent for tickets for some of the biggest events in the South West - you can buy your tickets for the Royal Bath & West Show here, as well as for selected local and regional events throughout the season, for example, the world-famous air shows at RAF Fairford and RNAS Yeovilton. Fancy treating yourself to a night at the theatre? Theatre Tokens, redeemable at over 240 theatres throughout the
UK (including
London's
West End), are always available . . . and they also make an ideal gift! Also, make us your first port of call for tickets to events at the town's Civic Centre.
Speaking of which . . .
The Centre is your 'one-stop shop' for a selection of Trowbridge souvenirs and gifts, including books, maps, bookmarks, postcards and a range of 'Trowbridge Ted' soft toys (exclusive to the Centre).
So, next time you're in the park area, drop in to your Trowbridge Information Centre where the friendly and helpful staff will always ensure that your visit is 'well-informed'!
