Town Park: Aptly named "The People’s Park" it is one of the most popular parts of the town. In summer it is the ideal place to soak up the sun, play a game of tennis or crazy golf, or let the children enjoy the swings and slides in the playground. Even in the cooler months, as soon as there is a splash of sunshine, the park is full of life as people come out to enjoy one of the town’s favourite facilities. The Park is the venue for the West Wilts Show held every two years, and Community Spotlight in the alternate years.

Eating Out: There are some twenty cafes, coffee houses and restaurants in the town centre. Among these are the Chicago Rock Café, JD Wetherspoon pub/restaurants, Red or White restaurant/wine shop, Berkeleys, The Codfather, Leykers Coffee Central, Maddisons, Shaws and Boswells in The Shires Shopping Centre. There are also a growing number of ethnic restaurants, the Ho Wah, the Mogul Tandoori, Assam, Tale of Spice, The Beijing Palace and an Italian restaurant.
In a Best in Wiltshire competition, organised by GWR FM and the Wiltshire Times, it was “a bumper year for businesses in Trowbridge,” with most of the winners coming from the county town. Leykers Coffee Central triumphed in the best coffee shop section, best bar section was the Sir Isaac Pitman in Trowbridge, best live music venue went to Chicago Rock, the best sandwich bar contest was Sangers, and the Tale of Spice restaurant rated the best takeaway.
