Facilities Support Officer

1 Year Fixed Term Contract
37 hours per week, to be worked Monday to Friday                  
£18,070 – £20,138 per annum,  Scale Points 18 – 21

Trowbridge Town Council is currently seeking a Facilities Support Officer to assist the Facilities Manager in in the security, maintenance and services of town council facilities, ensuing they meet the needs of the organisation and its employees.

 

You will provide administration and planning support to the Facilities Manger covering Insurance, Health & Safety, Civic Centre entertainment Programme and Technology. Additionally, you will provide advice and guidance on all areas of infrastructure and health and safety to event organisers, to ensure events run safely and liability is covered.  This role will support individuals and organisations undertaking community activities in the Town’s neighbourhoods.

 

This post will suit someone who is well organised, self-motivated and proactive.  Excellent interpersonal, time management and prioritising skills are required. The post holder will support all parts of the Facilities Management

Previous experience of working in a similar role and basic knowledge of health and safety would be advantageous.

Community Sports Coach
1 Year Fixed Term Contract
25 hours per week

£16,781 – £17,772 per annum, pro rata. Scale points 14 – 17

Active Trowbridge are currently seeking a Community Sports Coach to assist the Leisure Services Supervisor in providing sports and leisure activities in and around Trowbridge.

The ideal candidate will be confident and highly motivated with the ability to inspire, motivate and encourage young people through sport. You should have a minimum of 1 years’ experience of sports coaching, along with previous experience of playing a number of sports. An NGB Level 2 qualification is essential.

In return, Trowbridge Town Council will offer you various opportunities to undertake further training and development, 21 annual leave days per annum, pro rata and a pension scheme with an employer’s contribution rate of 20.8%

Apprentice Sports Coach

1 Year Fixed Term Apprenticeship
Apprentice Hourly Rate £3.50 per hour ( £105 per week)
30 hours per week
Hours will consist of daytimes, evenings and weekends.

The main purpose of this role is to act as an Apprentice Community Sports Coach for Trowbridge Town Council whilst completing an apprenticeship program resulting in an NVQ level 2 and National Governing Body Sports Coaching Qualifications.

 

This involves working with clubs and community groups to ensure a high quality of coaching is provided, alongside administrative duties necessary such maintaining accurate attendance registers and carrying out risk assessments.

Groundsman Operative

Trowbridge Town Council is currently seeking a Groundsman Operative to carry out associated tasks to provide an effective street scene environment including; the town park, town centre, floral beds, closed church yards, play and open recreational areas with maintenance services, under the direction of the Neighbourhood Services Supervisor.
Previous experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous.

Full clean driving licence is essential.

Casual Bar & Venue Assistants

The Civic Centre are looking to recruit Casual Bar and Venues Assistants to assist the operations team in delivering the in-house catering services at Trowbridge Civic Centre.
Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering excellent customer service at all times
  • To serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from our bar during events
  • To serve hot beverages quickly and efficiently, meeting our high standards
  • To assist in keeping the front of house and Civic Centre facilities clean and tidy at all times
  • To ensure the back of house duties are carried out as directed by the Duty Manager
  • To always adhere to company policies, procedures and licensing laws.

Ideally you will be a strong team player with the ability to work under pressure in a calm, effective manner and have a friendly, helpful and positive approach towards customers.

Please note that previous experience of working within the hospitality industry is essential.
