The Friends of Trowbridge Park recently received a funding award of £700 from Tesco toward the construction of an archway helping to connect the County Way supermarket’s car park to the Town Park and Biss Meadows Country Park. A spokesman for FoTP said: “Many visitors to Tesco do not even realise that two major parks are right ‘under their nose’, so hopefully the new signage – which is also designed as a piece of artwork – will encourage more visitors who come shopping at Tesco, and to explore the delights of both the Town Park and Biss Meadows Country Park. We are very grateful for the support that Tesco have already given and continue to give to FoTP.”
