“I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.” What a pity then that Groucho Marx isn’t around to enjoy Trowbridge Bookfest, which takes place for ten days at the end of this month, beginning Thursday September 28th.
Organised by Town Hall Arts, this festival of books and literature has something for everyone – for the young, there are Rhymetime and Storytime sessions, and you might meet the Gruffalo! Adults can explore a range of literary topics from creative writing to drama, and there will be a highly topical talk about the NHS.
All events are FREE (except where otherwise stated on the Town Hall Arts website – please click this link for more details.
