. . . Trowbridge Town Hall courtesy of the Trowbridge Prince’s Trust Team Programme. This course allows young adults from the ages of 16-25 who are unemployed receive help to gain new qualifications, personality growth and a step in the right direction. During the course they have to complete a community project which will help benefit the local community and needs to be self funded, the group held a coffee morning and a bag pack at Asda last week. They raised over £400 to help them purchase all the neccesary equipment.

The current team have been given permission to create a Heritage room within the Town Hall featuring the past, present and the future timeline. This will take a lot of effort as the room is currently used as a storage room. They are also looking into making the disabled access more user friendly as the lift currently opens into this room. Trowbridge Town Hall are incredibly pleased to have been chosen for the Community Project as it will give the Town Hall something new and exciting for people who wish to know more about the building and its vast history.

Helping the young adults with the information is Trowbridge Museum who are donating any pictures, artifacts and information to help with this project. Within this room they are hoping to be able to create an audio and visual projection to bring the Town Hall a new aspect to visit.

The project is due to finish on the 3rd of November so please go and take a look.

This is what the room currently looks like and we can’t wait to see the finished results.
