Join David Birks, Trowbridge Museum’s Learning and Outreach Officer for a short series of illustrated talks on different aspects of the Town’s history. Starting on Thursday February 8th with ‘A History of Trowbridge’, each talk will feature images and objects from the Museum’s collection.
Subsequent talks will be ‘1000 Years Of Warp and Weft’, drawing on the town’s woollen heritage, which will take place on Thursday April 19th, and on Thursday May 24th the subject will be ‘Trowbridge Spitfires’, looking at the role played by the town in the manufacture of this iconic aeroplane.
The cost is £7 per person per talk, to include refreshments, each beginning at 7.30pm, lasting until approximately 9.00pm.
The Museum will be open from 7.00pm – access to The Shires can be gained via the ASDA entrance. Parking is available in the ASDA car park after 8.00pm. The Museum has wheelchair access: please notify us on 01225 751339 concerning mobility issues.
