Aby recently visited Farleigh Castle, the well-known English Heritage site just outside of the town.  Aby says “It was such a beautifully sunny day, and it’s literally just up the road, so we felt really guilty we had not been sooner – and our visit was made even better by the free audio guide supplied. The castle ruins were beautiful and we lapped up the history that was told through the guide. The chapel and its lovely little garden which was in bloom was a real surprise, with the flowers smelling lovely. We finished off the day with some ice cream.  My daughter Lottie gave it a huge thumbs-up – which is amazing for a normally very unimpressed teenager!”
