Trowbridge Ted’s latest trail for youngsters has been launched at the Civic Centre. The ‘Off The Beaten Track’ nature trail encourages youngsters to hunt around Trowbridge Park and Biss Meadows Country Park for clues about the wildlife in both areas, and has been sponsored by Leykers of Trowbridge. Children were able to take part in nature-related craft activities, and were helped by staff from Active Trowbridge, who also provided inflatable fun, and Trowbridge Museum. The friends organisations of both Trowbridge Park and Biss Meadows also attended, their display stands highlighting the work carried out by both organisations, and local MP Dr. Andrew Murrison paid a short visit as he was attending a meeting in the Civic Centre.
Over 50 free trail maps were given away to the youngsters, some of whom also took copies of Ted’s Terrible Town Tales Trail, which contains stories about grisly goings-on throughout the history of Trowbridge. If you’d like a copy of either, drop in to the Information Centre to pick one up, and you can also get a copy of Off The Beaten Track from Leykers in White Hart Yard.
