A Friday in June saw the official opening of a decorative archway at the bridge which leads from the car park of Tesco Extra in Trowbridge to the paths to both Trowbridge Park and Biss Meadows Country Park. Attended by dignitaries including Dr Andrew Murrison MP, and Councillor Dennis Drewett, Mayor of Trowbridge, the gathering was addressed by Sharl Adabashi, chairman of the Friends of Trowbridge Park. He thanked all parties concerned in the project, particularly Tesco for its financial support through its ‘Bags Of Help’ campaign, which financed community projects throughout the UK with proceeds from carrier bag sales in its stores.
