The Wingfield Care Home in Trowbridge recently held a Community Open Day on Saturday 14th July to celebrate its new look, after a programme of major investment.

The home’s hospitality team provided a complimentary three-course buffet-style French-themed lunch (the date being Bastille Day). Councillor Dennis Drewett, Mayor of Trowbridge cut the official ribbon unveiling the new look, followed by live entertainment in the garden.

Gail Stone, General Manager at The Wingfield, said: “The home is looking better than ever after the recent investment and it was a pleasure to showcase the elegant new interior at the Open Day.  My door is always open, and anyone who couldn’t make the Open Day is very welcome to drop by for a cup of tea any other day instead.”

The Wingfield Care Home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering personalised care across its care homes and hospitals. The Wingfield provides residential care, nursing care and dementia care for 83 residents, from respite care to long term stays.
