Deputy Mayor of Trowbridge, Councillor David Cavill recently attended a Family Fun Day organised by the Wiltshire Islamic Cultural Centre, held at Clarendon Academy. On a hot summer’s afternoon, the event was well-attended by the public, with many activities and attractions, while offering people the opportunityto learn more about the role of the Muslim community within the town. Councillor Cavill said “I was delighted to be able to attend the WICC Fun Day. I was made to feel very welcome by the organisers, and met those taking part, including many children who had received certificates and were celebrating in the bouncy castle cave. The BBQ was delicious, as were the cakes and other refreshments available. It was a great day for everyone and yet another insight into the wonderful and varied life of Trowbridge.”
