Roads in part of Trowbridge will be closed this coming weekend to enable Wessex Water to repair an existing mains leak.
One lane on Stallard Street will be affected, from its junction with the roundabout at the rail station down over the Town Bridge to the junction with Hill Street. The opposite lane will still be accessible from Wicker Hill, continuing toward the Holy Trinity Church roundabout. Hill Street will then be closed up to its junction with Back Street (also closed), as will Shails Lane up to its junction with Riverway. On both days, the one-way order on Back Street and Broad Street will be suspended to let people get to their homes. Traffic needing to reach Riverway to get to businesses or homes will be allowed to use the one-way portion of Shails Lane from Broad Street to do so while the bottom section of Shails Lane is closed.
It is planned for the work to be completed in time for traffic to return to normal by Monday.
