Trowbridge Town Council is staging a free event for the community, offering ‘taster’ style fitness classes in the Town Park from a number of instructors, including David King and Lucy Anderson. Taking place on Saturday September 15th between 8am and 3pm, it’s aimed at members of the public who don’t regularly exercise and who may not really know how to start. At the same time the event will be used to springboard the Council’s new ‘fitness partner’ scheme. Richard Riley of Trowbridge Town Council says “This is a day of fitness-related activities taking place in the Upper Park. It’s an opportunity for people who would like to try fitness but haven’t yet taken the first step, to meet and ‘taste’ fitness classes held by instructors in the area. So, we’ve got thirteen instructors who will set up in the park and showcase their activities. There will be everything from “Insanity” classes to Pilates, Back Health and Yoga. We also have Zumba, Circus Skills (including silks) and a brilliant massed dance class to ‘70’s disco music!” The event will also include vegan and vegetarian cookery, coffee vans and expert advice on fitness matters. Call 01225 765072 or email info@trowbridge.gov.uk for further details.
