On Friday 14th September Trowbridge Civic Centre was relaunched as ‘The Civic’ in an exciting open house event showcasing its brand new image. Local businesses, councillors and dignitaries were in attendance, enjoying the new ambiance of the venue. Guests took tours of the venue including technical demonstrations and information on the venue’s spaces available for hire, from corporate functions to entertainment and private celebrations. Freshly-prepared gourmet local foods from new caterers accompanied a drinks reception.
Teaming both modern and contemporary designs for a unique image to complement any occasion, The Civic has utilised rustic materials for a stunning bar refit. A new lounge has been refurbished with beautiful pre-loved furniture and complete with the latest self-serve machine from Costa Express, offering the perfect space to relax and unwind, whether you’re looking for a quiet place to read the paper or somewhere to catch up with friends: free Wi-Fi and a charging station also make it a great place to tackle those emails out of the office. The Lounge is now open Monday-Friday with a view to also opening on the weekends, whenever events are held in the park.
With this relaunch, The Civic welcomes the return of the popular monthly @theCafé, an evening of live music performed by local artists. This event runs the first Monday of every month with a new host artiste and their guests showcasing outstanding talent. The success of this event is being celebrated with an Annual Beer and Cider Festival on Saturday 22nd September, which will see many @theCafé performers come together to perform live throughout the day. The Civic are also excited to welcome our new ‘Networking Thursday’ from 5pm to 7pm offering a range of gins, Prosecco and our full bar – the perfect opportunity to wind down after a long day at work. Why not pop in before heading home for dinner?
Led by manager Paul Weimar, the team at The Civic are passionate about the services they provide and look forward to welcoming you at the newly refurbished venue.
