Begin your Christmas with a magical day spent in and around our festive town on Saturday 24th November.
For a traditional Christmas make your way to Fore Street and enjoy free festive stories read by Trowbridge Museum’s traditional Father Christmas. He’ll be settled in his armchair for drop-in sessions at 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 14:00, 14:30, 15:00 and 15:30.
Fore Street is also offering Ice Skating with sessions starting at 10.00 with the last session at 15:15. The cost is £6.50 per skater for a 30 minute session. Arrive 15 minutes before your booked time, to allow time to, literally, get your skates on. Book with Trowbridge Information Centre on 01225 765072.

Castle Place will be celebrating with their annual Wishing Tree in aid of the Bath Cancer Unit Support Group: share your memory and wishes by hanging them on this beautiful tree.
The Shires have their special Christmas grotto with the Paw Patrol Crew back in town! There will also be balloon modelling throughout the day and a chance to win ‘Christmas’ for one lucky shopper. Check out their website www.shirescentre.co.uk for more details.
Trowbridge Museum are holding a free lantern-making workshop in the Museum at 15:00 followed by a Candlelit Parade to the Sensory Garden. This activity is suitable for children aged 5+ and places are limited, so book to reserve yours on 01225 751339. The Sensory Garden will be sparkling with tea lights from 16:30.
Trowbridge Ted is back again with another trail. Grab a sheet from Leykers from 10:00 till 15:30 in White Hart Yard and explore the town looking for the Teds (each one is in disguise). Once you have found them and worked out the word, bring your completed form to the Discover Trowbridge Gazebo in the Town Park for your Trowbridge Ted certificate (all completed sheets must be with us by 16:00).
The Town Park is once again offering festive entertainment throughout the day from 10:30. There’ll be Jennings Fair, inflatables with Active Trowbridge, Land Train, food and drink, sand art and plenty of traders to keep you busy. The Main Stage will also provide entertainment throughout the day. The line-up is as follows:

Please note that the entrance to the upper park will be closed from 17:20 until 17:40. There will also be fireworks and pyrotechnics from 16:30 until 18:00 (timings approximate).
The Civic Centre opens its doors from 10:00 until 18:00 with Cow Parsley’s Christmas Craft fair. Browse and buy plenty of unique gifts this Christmas and enjoy plenty of tasty treats that are on offer.
Once the lights switch-on has finished, don’t forget to head up to the town and see the lights around the town en route to St James’ Church, where from 18:00 you can join Reverend Rob Thomas and the Trowbridge and District Youth Band for the Shoppers’ Carol Service.
