Although Trowbridge Museum is closed for refurbishment until June 2020, their traditional Father Christmas will be back in his parlour again over the season at Trowbridge Town Hall – this truly magical treat will be taking place on Saturdays 15th and 22nd of December, and Friday 21st. At £10 per child and with timed sessions throughout each date, Father Christmas will be joined by a Victorian storyteller and an old-fashioned photographer. The cost includes a traditional gift, storytelling, a Christmas craft activity, and a splendid sepia photograph. Full details can be found here.
The Museum is also hosting a Victorian Children’s Christmas Party at the Town Hall on Saturday December 15th, at 6pm. It’s bound to be a wonderful evening with traditional games, delicious sandwiches, cakes and trifle, and there’ll also be a visit from Father Christmas. To add to the fun, why not come along in Victorian costume, or perhaps as a street urchin? Book online at this link.
