Employees of Trowbridge Town Council have recently been helping local charitable organisations to spread some Christmas cheer, both around the Trowbridge area and much further afield.
A team from the Council’s sports and leisure division, Active Trowbridge, happily spent a few hours at a depot near Westbury with Town Councillor David Halik helping to load lorries for Operation Christmas Child. This charity organises shoebox collections containing toys, sweets, toiletries and small items of clothing for children all around the world who otherwise would not receive any Christmas gifts: watch a video of the Active team here.

Aby, Ben and Mike from Information Services at the Council have also been helping Trowbridge Lions with their door-to-door collection. The Lions visit various parts of the town with their brightly coloured and festive float, ably assisted by Santa himself, and collect donations which go towards charitable groups around the town, and others in need.
