There’s a lot going on in Trowbridge in August – and you’re sure to find something to suit everyone’s taste . . .
All the fun of Jennings Fun Fair will be going on every day between Wednesday 14th and Saturday 31st, in their usual location within the lower part of the park.
Saturday 10th sees the second Trowbridge Weavers’ Market – the first, held in July, was a huge success, with live entertainment, craft stalls, and more food choices than you could shake a loaf of sourdough bread at! Make sure you come along between 10am and 3pm – it’s a great event!
If you enjoyed the excitement of the recent Cricket World Cup Final (!), then why not come along to Trowbridge Cricket Club on Sunday 11th from 4pm for a charity 20/20 match between pub teams from The Rose & Crown and The Kings Arms – enjoy a beer or cider on the verandah of the clubhouse, and there’ll also be a BBQ. The event will be raising money for two great causes, The Forever Friends – RUH Cancer Centre, and Stepping Stones Nursery. Admission is free, but donations will be welcome.
Looking to keep the youngsters occupied for the remainder of the school holidays? Trowbridge Museum has a range of activities going on – click here to find out more.
Why not try your hand at the Museum’s Mouse Hunt? Ten knitted mice are scattered in locations around the town centre – it’s great fun, and you can pick up an answer sheet from the Information Centre.
As always throughout the summer holidays, Active Trowbridge are hosting a series of FREE sports roadshows around the town (details here), and affordable childcare through Active’s summer camps is available on certain dates until the end of the month.
Also, don’t forget about our FREE & fun Town Trails, which are available all year round from the Information Centre – choose from Trowbridge Ted’s Terrible Town Trail, which tells about the gorier, messier but fun side of Trowbridge’s history, or Off The Beaten Track, which takes in a trail exploring the natural environment of Trowbridge Park.
If you fancy seeing the summer out with a tipple or two, then why not make your way to The Civic Trowbridge for The Gin Society Festival on the evening of Saturday 31st – find out more here . . .

And remember . . . if you’ve an event going on in or around Trowbridge which you’d like to be included within our What’s On listing, it’s really simple – just follow this link, and we’ll do the rest.
