We Are Undressed – Trowbridge’s first packaging-free and ‘zero waste’ shop – hopes to soon become a regular fixture in and around the town.

Founder, Leyla Bakali-Laughton says “The philosophy behind the venture is simple: everyone can help in tackling the country’s climate emergency by reducing the amount of packaging we choose to buy our household items in, and therefore reducing our carbon footprint on the planet. We Are Undressed will be selling dried kitchen foods – grains, pasta, cereal, herbs, tea, pulses etc., as well as refillable household liquids, such as oils, cleaning products, shampoo and conditioners. A wide variety of sustainable non-food items will be available, including recycled toilet roll, plastic-free shampoo, reusable straws, sanitary products and wax wraps.”

Leyla continued “If enough donations are received to hit our £8,000 target, we will be opening on the first Saturday in October at Trowbridge Town Hall.  Anyone wishing to find out more about us, or make a donation, should visit our crowdfunding page here.”

We Are Undressed is a not-for-profit company, donating funds back into the community of Trowbridge and surrounding areas.
