Trowbridge Mayor Councillor David Cavill was pleased to meet with representatives of the Royal British Legion recently to launch the town’s Poppy Appeal for 2019 and receive the first poppy from Town Crier Mr Trevor Heeks. The Mayor was also delighted to receive one of the very special ‘Trowbridge Remembers’ enamel lapel pins, which will be available from all of the Poppy Appeal static collection points in town (see below for details), in exchange for a suggested minimum donation of £5. Mr Rick Owen, Hon. Poppy Appeal Organiser, said “We are so proud of the support the town gives us over this crucial fundraising fortnight, which forms the backbone of welfare support for the Service family. We hope the ‘Trowbridge Remembers’ pins will prove popular, and if this limited supply goes quickly, we may look to making it a regular feature in the future.” The special ‘Trowbridge Remembers’ pins will be available from:
    ASDA
    Sainsbury’s
    Tesco Extra (County Way)
    Castle Place Shopping Centre
    The Shires Shopping Centre
The Poppy Appeal runs from Saturday 26th October to Saturday 9th November.
