Trowbridge Town Council is constantly and keenly investing in sports facilities for the benefit of the local community, and has recently submitted a planning application for a 3G Artificial Turf Pitch to be located next to Trowbridge Rugby Club at Doric Park, on the A361. The facility will be used by both football and rugby providing an all-year-round training location, and will also be available for the public to hire. The development will also provide changing facilities and a gym: the rugby club will also benefit from additional car parking.

The Council is using S106 planning contributions and grants as well as a loan to finance the project. The loan of up to £1.8 million will be fully funded from the income generated by the fees charged to users.

We are also in discussion with developers regarding additional grass pitch facilities at Elm Grove and Ashton Park, which will include parking and changing rooms.
