At the Annual Council Meeting held on Tuesday 19th May, Trowbridge Town Council decided to consider options for reinstating public toilet facilities in the vicinity of Trowbridge Park, having voted in a proposal from Councillor Andrew Bryant (Liberal Democrat). As a result, the Town Council has set up a cross-party Working Group to consider options, including potential locations. The group will consist of three Town Councillors – Andrew Bryant, Denis Drewett (Independent), and Diana King (Conservative). Commenting recently, Councillor Bryant said “We have held our first meeting to consider the feasibility of and potential locations for public toilet provision in the vicinity of the Town Park. Public consultations will follow, but we welcome your early views.”

Paper towels are more hygienic than hot air driers which blow the germs into the air (I believe).

Public toilets in the park are long overdue. I moved here 3 years ago and was appalled to find the park had no toilets. It made me think twice about taking the grandchildren there
Thank you for your comment and your interest in our website. As you can see from the news item, positive steps are now being taken toward the the installation of toilets in our town park: the website will provide regular updates on any progress.
The Civic centre toilets should become public. They are in the park, we, the rate payers own them, they have existing security and cleaning, easier and cheaper to add more cleaning than to build new ones and they are locked at night.
The Market hall toilets should be refurbished and re opened. This is in the park and near to the market cafe. They are locked at night.
The new council storage near the band stand will probably have conveniences for park staff, they could be made public. Please do not build on any more green space in the park. It has been my lifeline during the last 3 months
Good morning Joan
I hope you are staying well at this time. Thank you for your comment, and your interest in our website. I will make sure that this is passed on to our Chief Executive.
