The last twelve weeks have, for obvious reasons, been a lot busier for Storehouse, Trowbridge’s food bank. Now they can take a bit of a breather, they are proud to announce that they are now working in partnership with The Dignity Project. This is a local charity that provides much needed white goods, brand-new and fitted, free of charge to people in need in the Trowbridge and surrounding areas.
Applications for these appliances can be made via a simple referral process with Storehouse. Funds are limited, so the scheme will operate on a first come first served, rolling monthly basis.
Hello. I am the scheme Co-ordinator of a Retirement Living Scheme, Teazle Ground Court in Barn Glebe, Trowbridge, BA14 7JY. I have a vulnerable male resident (58 years old) solely on Universal Credit, whose cooker is no longer working properly. I just wondered if you have any spare cookers or know of a charity that may be able to help him.
Thank you for your enquiry. This is not something that we as a Town Council would deal with first-hand: perhaps you might like to contact Social Services at Wiltshire Council, or maybe the British Heart Foundation shop in Trowbridge on 01225 560561 – hope this helps.
