Lockdown has dominated everyone’s lives over the past three months, and as we know, many people have felt isolated, including those with a prevailing condition who belong to support groups.

One such group are those who are affected by Parkinson’s: for those living in the Trowbridge area, the Drop-In cafe at Palmer Gardens has always been a lifeline. Although it remains closed during the ongoing situation, users can go online or over the phone for information and support. A useful link is

The charity also operates a confidential helpline on 0808 800 0303, Monday to Friday, 9.00am-7.00pm. Saturday 10.00am-2.00pm (calls are free from UK landlines and most mobile networks).

Other contact details are Text Relay 18001 0808 800 0303 (for textphone users only) and email at hello@parkinsons.org.uk

It is also hoped that a meeting for those living in the Trowbridge area will soon be organised via Zoom. To find out more about this, please contact Jane Henderson on 0344 225 3694 or at jhenderson@parkinsons.org.uk.
