As we’re all aware, the current pandemic situation across the UK has had a significant impact on the way people travel, for business and also for pleasure. With Government advice telling us not to use public transport unless absolutely necessary, many people have turned to more sustainable ways of travelling, such as cycling and walking, to get active.
Businesses have seen a huge increase in the sales of bicycles and Local Authorities have recorded a greater level of cycling than ever before as both families and individuals get out and about on their bikes. So, if you live locally and haven’t already done so, dig out that old Raleigh or Claude Butler from the back of the garage, and get pedalling! Trowbridge itself has plenty of great cycle routes in and around the town, and now Wiltshire Council have produced a map showing these routes. The map can be found on the Connecting Wiltshire website and is available for download by clicking this link.
