Following disruption caused by COVID-19 over the past six months, Trowbridge’s Community Hospital in Seymour Road will again be able to receive patients as referrals from NHS 111 or from GPs as of Monday, September 28th.

Bookable appointments for the Minor Injury Unit will be available seven days a week, between the hours of 10am and 6pm. However, Wiltshire Health and Care have stated that no patients will be seen on a ‘walk-in’ basis. Furthermore, neither will there be an x-ray facility situated at the hospital.

Wiltshire Health and Care added that the changes to the services offered at Trowbridge have been designed to keep both patients and staff safe, whilst keeping in line with the NHS ‘Think 111 First‘ campaign.

Patients will not be able to book appointments directly, but NHS 111 will continue to triage all appointments and patients meeting the appropriate criteria will be referred to the Trowbridge, whereupon the hospital will call the patient back to arrange an appointment. It should be stressed however that anybody with life-threatening injuries or illness should still dial 999.
