Starting out in September 2019, We Are Undressed is based at Trowbridge Town Hall, and is the town’s only plastic-free shop, and one year on is still successfully spreading its environmental message, while offering a fantastic range of kitchen ingredients and household materials. Customers simply bring their own containers and bottles and refill them with pasta, pulses, baking ingredients, fruits, nuts, oils and cleaning liquids.
On the occasion of WAU’s first successful year of trading, owner Leyla Bakali-Laughton says “I would like to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you who have continued to support We Are Undressed. As you may or may not know, we have had a slow September. Refusing to be defeated by it, it’s allowed us to get on with lots of fun admin now that we are at the end of our first year of trade. Thank you to everyone who has been patient with us whilst our stock levels have been low and have understood that things are taking a bit longer at the moment.
“Also, without the support of our customers, we wouldn’t have ‘We Are Undressed’ in Trowbridge. It’s as simple as that: you provide the positive & conscious difference our community and town needs.”
Would you like to become a volunteer with us?
As a not-for-profit business, We Are Undressed truly values our community in helping us grow. To allow us to grow our business, we are now looking for volunteers to help us. No experience is required, and we particularly welcome people who are passionate about making a positive difference to the community, and also enjoy engaging with people.
We will provide you with training – you will be serving customers on the till, and helping to keep the shop looking beautiful!
If you would like to volunteer any of your free time, please email us with your availability – our email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
We also have a new charity pot at the till where all donations will be donated to Trowbridge Environmental Group who work on projects to benefit the local environment.
