Trowbridge Town Council considered its budget for 2021/22 and the Council Tax at a meeting of its Policy & Resources Committee on Tuesday 5th January. It was proposed to increase the Town Council share of the Council Tax by £2.48 for a Band D household, representing an increase of 1.5% from £164.98 to £167.46.
Trowbridge Town Council will still be charging one of the lowest Council Tax rates for towns in Wiltshire: more than half of other town councils throughout the county charge more than £200 for a Band D household.
The Town Council will still be investing in a range of services and facilities to make the town better, including our street sweeping service, the Museum which is due to reopen in March, and our new sports pitches, as well as returning to offer a range of entertainment at the Civic Centre, events in the Town Park, and Active Trowbridge.
