Trowbridge Area Board has grant funding available to support community projects, and the deadline for applications is Wednesday 27th January 2021.

Funding is available for projects which are of benefit to the local community, and groups who are interested in applying are encouraged to come forward.

Wiltshire Council Community Engagement Managerfor Trowbridge, Liam Cripps, said “We have funding available every year and the grants are awarded at Community Area Board meetings. With one more online meeting remaining of the financial year, I would actively encourage groups to bid for some of the remaining budget.
Please get in touch with me to discuss your project.

“Funding is available for any capital projects that meet a local need or priority. It is also possible to apply for funding to meet revenue costs if the project is specifically aimed at young people or aimed at improving the health wellbeing of the community.

“Our Capital grants pot can support the purchase of equipment such as IT equipment, storage equipment, landscaping and building works (subject to meeting the relevant criteria).

“We have a grants pot for projects that meet the needs of young people aged 13-19 (or up to 25 for SEND).”

For a Health and Wellbeing Grant, Wiltshire Council are calling for applications for community projects that support older or vulnerable people, with an emphasis on mental health and prevention of loneliness and social isolation.

The maximum grant that can be applied for is £5,000 (please note the criteria and the need for match funding).
The next round of grants will be decided at an area board meeting on 25th February.

It should be noted that grants cannot be awarded retrospectively for projects that have already started.

You can see the criteria and start your application via the area boards page of the Wiltshire Council website here.
