Here’s a February update from Tessa at Trowbridge Museum . . .
Trowbridge Museum is continuing to take shape as we enter our most exciting phase of the redevelopment!
We have settled back into our lockdown routine of working, and enjoyed some sunny winter days on site at the Museum! Whilst reduced access to site may have delayed our reopening, we are so excited to see the Museum come together through the final stages of our redevelopment. We are having a fantastic time dressing all our brand-new display cases with so many of the incredible objects in our collection. We can’t wait to show you more of Trowbridge’s history through these beautiful never-before-seen pieces!
Alongside our updates to the Museum itself, we are using our time whilst working from home to redevelop our website, events and exhibition programmes, as well as preparing for our brand-new shop, and we can’t wait to share the results of our hard work soon!
We hope you enjoy this sneak peek of our costume case, and keep watching our website, Facebook, Instagram and twitter pages for more updates and Museum reveals!
It will be interesting to know if the 2 items my brothers and I donated back in 2017/18, of our mum’s. A felt hat from Trowbridge High School for Girls and the school photo from 1948, so I can meet up with my brothers to come and see them.
Our mum was Patricia Lye, née Philip’s.
I was on the Town Council 1988 to 2001 and now live in Pembrokeshire.
