The ‘Live at The Town Hall’ series of online performances continues this Saturday (27th) with a highly energetic performance from Kid Carpet.
Kid Carpet returns to Trowbridge Town Hall, but not quite like you’ve seen him before . . .
Well-known for his family theatre shows, this definitely isn’t one of them! Shooting stars, stage diving, sound effects (and a bit of swearing) – Kid Carpet never fails to entertain. Expect classics such as ‘Jesus is a Hedgehog’, ‘Gargle Song’ and ‘Gordano’ – a tribute to the motorway service station (we all have a favourite one of those, don’t we?)
You can tune into Kid Carpet’s performance here on Trowbridge Town Hall’s YouTube channel. Launching at 7pm on Saturday 27th February, it’ll also be available to watch again, along with previous performances from the series
The first recording featuring Tamsin Quin, an acoustic folk/blues singer-songwriter is available to watch back here. The following five recordings will be released weekly featuring Kid Carpet, Harmony Asia, Concrete Prairie, Stevie Nicole Brown and Gavin Osborn & The Comment Section.
In partnership with Wiltshire Rural Music, Trowbridge Town Hall are releasing this series of six performances ‘Live at the Town Hall’. Filmed during the third government lockdown in early 2021, these performances were filmed in line with government guidance and without audiences, to be released online with the aim of keeping music alive and showcasing incredible musicians within the community.
The musicians involved were paid, and The Town Hall & Wiltshire Rural Music encourage donations to be made at trowbridgetownhall.com/donate.
