Live at the Town Hall concludes this Saturday with a special performance from Gavin Osborn & The Comment Section.

Mixing the personal with the political, Gavin Osborn has spent fifteen years entertaining audiences across the UK, Europe and Australia with his deft lyricism, evocative heart-warming storytelling and quick wit. Familiar to BBC Radio 4 and 6Music listeners – and from his tours with the likes of Grace Petrie and MJ Hibbett – Gavin has so far released five acclaimed solo albums.

He supported Belle & Sebastian on their UK tour and, as part of Robin Ince’s Book Club, played two sold-out shows at Hammersmith Apollo. A regular on the UK festival circuit (Latitude, Green Man, End of The Road), Gavin is currently working on his sixth record, with his band The Comment Section, with whom he finally got to play alongside for their Live at the Town Hall gig in Trowbridge.

In the midst of the utter madness that was 2020, he also released a charity single ‘Born In The NHS’, which clocked up nearly half a million views after being featured on Russell Howard’s Sky One show, Home Time.

You can tune into Gavin Osborn & The Comment Section’s performance here on Trowbridge Town Hall’s YouTube channel. Launching at 7pm on Saturday 27th March, and then available to watch back along with previous performances from the series.

This is the final performance from the ‘Live at the Town Hall’ series, created in partnership with Wiltshire Rural Music to be released online with the aim of keeping music alive and showcasing incredible musicians within the community.

The musicians involved were paid, and The Town Hall & Wiltshire Rural Music encourage donations to be made at trowbridgetownhall.com/donate.

The previous five performances from Tamsin Quin, Kid Carpet, Stevie Nicole Brown, Concrete Prairie and Harmony-Asia are available to watch back here.
