The number of cases in Wiltshire continues to be below the national average and has fallen slightly this week. The rate of cases per 100,000 has decreased from 17.4 to 15.2. However, the public are advised to continue to play an important part to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
If you have symptoms of COVID-19
Get a PCR test as soon as possible if you have any of these symptoms:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.
You and anyone you live with should stay at home until you get your test result. Only leave your home to take a test.
Anyone in your childcare or support bubble should also stay at home if you have been in close contact with them since your symptoms started or during the 48 hours before they started.
Free testing continues to be available to everyone who has COVID-19 symptoms, and people who show symptoms must book a test online or call 119.
If you do not have symptoms of COVID-19
Anyone can now get regular rapid lateral flow tests without having symptoms. About one in three people with COVID-19 do not have symptoms but can still infect others. Getting regular tests is the only way to know if you have the virus. If people test positive and self-isolate, it helps stop the virus spreading.
