Active Trowbridge’s Active Extras programme of activities for school-age children began again in April, and have proved as popular as ever. However, after the late May half-term holiday, pre-school sessions are moving to the MUGA in the town park, having previously taken place at Longfield Community Centre. Wildcats, the FA’s football programme for girls is returning, with the first six weeks costing just £1 per player per week. Multi-Sports sessions have now moved to Tuesday, the same as @dance. All Active Extras sessions can be booked online now.
Also, for the late May half-term break, the ever-popular Active Kids camps will return for four days (Tuesday June 1st until Friday 4th) along with the Soccer Schools programme: it should be noted however that bookings can only be taken for the entire week: no individual day bookings can be accepted. The booking system is currently being updated, so please check the Active Trowbridge website regularly, or look out for updates on their social media pages.
As Covid-19 restrictions are gradually easing more and more, Active are very pleased to be continuing working with Wiltshire Council on their Healthier Communities adult fitness sessions. These include:
Mondays – Walking Netball at Studley Green Community Centre (9.30am-10.30am).
Sport England’s female fitness scheme ‘This Girl Can’ at Trowbridge Park MUGA (Tuesdays, 5.00pm-6.00pm).
Walking Football (Wednesdays) at Trowbridge Park MUGA (1.30pm-2.30pm).
Thursday – Walking Netball at Trowbridge Park MUGA (1.30pm-2.30pm).
