We think you’ll agree that the last few weeks have certainly provided great weather for ducks, considering the amount of rain we’ve had . . . But now as we gradually move into the summer months, those ducks that are residents of our Town Park are looking forward to greeting visitors at their lovely pond. They’d also like to remind you that a few treats are always welcome, and would like to point out that you can buy a bag of ‘Quack Snacks’ for just 50p, from Trowbridge Information Centre. This specially-formulated foodstuff is particularly good for ducks and other waterfowl, as bread has been discovered to be bad for their digestion.
Speaking to our Information Services team, Dave, a two-year-old Mallard, said “We really love it when people come and throw a few Quack Snacks into the pond for us. There’s nothing I personally like better than a few of these nibbles, a bit of a swim about, then resting on the bank of the pond listening to Swan Lake or a bit of Drake . . .”
