If you’ve taken a stroll through the Town Park lately, you’ll notice that the flower beds are looking a little different than they have in the past . . . Our Neighbourhood Services team have been busy cutting back the perennials (no bulbs have been removed), and a wildflower mix has been added – this is particularly good for the environment in the park, as the planting of such wildflowers is known to encourage wildlife such as bees and other insect species.
Also, at various locations around the town, hanging baskets have now been installed by Neighbourhood Services, and some businesses are displaying planters and entrance boxes.
