Once again this year, Trowbridge Carnival will be unable to hold its massively popular Carnival Procession, due to the ongoing pandemic current which has impacted on the fundraising of carnival clubs, leaving them unable to build floats and make costumes.
But all is not lost – and here’s a way in which everyone can get involved! The Carnival Committee have decided to organise an Online Trowbridge ‘Carnival in Miniature’, organised through their Facebook page. They’re inviting children (this is a great activity for the upcoming summer holidays!), families, community groups to build miniature carnival floats using recyclable items (boxes, plastics, paper, scraps of material, wool, bottle tops, empty crisp packets). Once built, photos should be shared to the page (or maybe even a short video) and TCC will create a Powerpoint presentation and post onto its social media.
Full details can be found on the poster, which you can open here.
