To most, the end of the summer is met with a sigh and not so subtle hints about the British weather.  However, we have so much to look forward to during the Autumn and Winter months including the return of our wonderful Trowbridge Lantern Festival.

We are so excited that the Trowbridge Lantern Festival is returning this November and the construction of lanterns has already begun!  This year’s theme is ‘The Environment’ and we can’t wait to see all of the wonderful creations being paraded through Trowbridge on 27th November.  Work has already commenced and here is what has been created so far…

The picture shows a large lantern that has been made into the shape of a turtle. Different shaped circles have been cut out in black that covers the flippers, head and tail. Larger brown circles fill the shell and the rim of the shell is decorated with green squares and rectangles.

We will be running workshops in local schools again this year and there will be the return of popular weekend and half term workshops too.  More details on booking workshops to follow soon but for now, get your thinking caps on as we would love to see your imagination run wild this year!

Keep your eyes peeled for more information and workshop dates.
