In the middle of August, Trowbridge Civic held its annual Cider Festival – and what a great day it was! With a huge range of local ciders featuring favourites from sponsors Lilleys, Honeys & Iford Cider, drinkers were certainly spoilt for choice. Live music came from the West Country favourites The Mangledwurzels who had everyone singing along to the classic Wurzels tunes. The team at The Civic would like to thank everyone who came down to their most successful ‘ciderfest’ yet and enjoyed a pint (or two), and they can’t wait to do it all again next year!
The Civic are looking forward to hosting a couple of great nights of entertainment over the next few weeks – on Saturday 2nd October, Club Nights at The Civic are BACK! The first of a series of once-a-month club nights, the venue is kicking off with a tribute to the Nineties & Noughties. Dance the night away to two decades of your favourite tunes with DJ Riky Grover. Tickets are £5 each in advance, or £8 on the door – plus there’s FREE entry for NHS staff with a valid ID. Saturday October 23rd sees the return of Mercury, paying tribute to the timeless classics of Queen. Winners of the National Tribute Awards, Mercury have firmly established themselves as one of the world’s most authentic tributes to Queen. The show includes fantastic and authentic performances of the most popular Queen hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio Ga Ga,We Are The Champions, We Will Rock You and so many more. The Civic still has plenty of space on its Xmas Party Nights on Friday 10th, Saturday 11th and Friday 17th December. For anyone that has been to one of the Civic’s Christmas parties before, you’ll know what a fantastic, fun-filled night it is!
