Mayor of Trowbridge, Councillor Denise Bates, recently volunteered on a Friday morning to read for Trowbridge Talking News. Trowbridge Town Council has for some time been involved with this locally-based charity, which provides weekly recordings of news items from the Wiltshire Times for visually-impaired people in the Trowbridge area. Councillor Bates made a selection of articles and news items from that week’s edition of the newspaper, and recorded them onto a USB via a laptop, which went on to be duplicated and distributed by Trowbridge Talking News.
