£16m has become available to Wiltshire Council to give Trowbridge a facelift by means of projects in four areas.
Firstly, the enhancement of pedestrian and public places in the town centre, also improvements to the River Biss and pathway between the Town Bridge and Castle Street Bridge. A further project will look at returning vacant commercial units in the centre of the town to use by independent businesses and start-ups and encouraging the conversion of upper floors to residential accommodation. The last part of this programme will involve the renovation of the Town Hall to secure its future as a cultural and community hub.
As part of this process Wiltshire Council is seeking the views and ideas of residents to help shape the way these projects are delivered.
Further details of the programme and how you can get involved can be found here. Alternatively, paper copies are available from the Information Centre at the Civic Centre.
All responses should be received by 5pm on 11 Feb 2022.
