At the full council meeting held on Tuesday 18th January 2022, it was decided that Trowbridge Town Council will create a working group of 4 councillors to help oversee the Doric Park project and issue detailed monthly updates. It was agreed that Cllr Denise Bates, Cllr Mel Jacob, Cllr Stephen Cooper and Cllr Antonio Piazza would be members of the group and the first meeting will be held on 9th February 2022.

Hayley Bell, Head of Leisure Services commented ‘The working group is being formed to ensure transparency for the council and a clear understanding of the project for councillors so they are able to communicate this effectively with the public at this critical time for the delivery of this investment in services for Trowbridge’.

Updates will be available on the Trowbridge Town Council website, newsletters, social media channels and in the Leisure & Information Services Committee reports.

Doric Park is the home of Trowbridge Rugby Club and the town council also owns land there on which it intends to develop a 3G Artificial Turf Pitch and associated changing rooms and parking.
