Trowbridge Town Council and its committees have appointed a number of working groups to consider detailed matters relating to specific areas of activity. Whilst Working Groups do not have delegated responsibility to make decisions, they can make recommendations to committees or the Council.

 

The Anti-Social Behaviour and CCTV Working Group have been focussing on the Town Centre, Town Park and the future development of the town centre CCTV system, works with Wilthsire Council and the Trowbridge Neighbourhood Policing Team and reports to the Neighbourhood Services Committee.

 

The ECO Working Group are engaging with partners and the public to improve the ecology and environment of the town and address the range of elements in the Town Council Strategy under ‘A Greener Trowbridge’. They also report to the Neighbourhood Services Committee.

 

The Public Toilets Working Group are currently considering a number of options for the location of new public toilets, including the potential for the unit under the multi storey car-park in the corner of the Town Park.

They also report to the Neighbourhood Services Committee and has a budget allocation of £40,000

 

The Doric Park Working Group are considering the details of the £G Artificial Turf Pitch project and will detail monthly updates when appropriate through the newsletter, social media channels, and the town council website, as well as providing monthly press releases. They report to the Leisure Services Committee.
