Avid readers may remember seeing our recent article regarding the West of England Festival of Textiles 2022.  We caught up with Cathy, from Trowbridge Museum, who has given us an update for the largely anticipated exhibition returning to the newly renovated Museum.

Trowbridge Museum will see the return of its West of England Festival of Textiles (WEFT) from 18th June – 29th October 2022, co-curated with Carolyn Griffiths, author of ‘Woad To This & The Cloth Trade of Frome’. WEFT is a biennial exhibition celebrating all textile forms, and although the Museum focuses on Trowbridge’s fantastic weaving heritage, WEFT presents and exhibits all types of textile forms created in the West of England.

A full programme of events covering the duration of WEFT has been released on 9th April and it’s promising to be fantastic!  From artists exhibiting their work, companies displaying their products, to workshops, speakers and a Craft Fayre. All events will be held at the newly renovated Trowbridge Museum.

Details will be posted on the Museum’s website and social media platforms, so pop over now and ‘like’ or ‘follow’ the pages to receive ‘hot off the press’ information.
