Have your say on how to make our streets safer at night
How safe do you feel in public spaces?
What makes you feel unsafe at night in public spaces?
Have you ever been a victim of crime in a public space at night?
These are some of the questions that Wiltshire Police are asking as part of the Wiltshire Safer at Nights survey. Please make sure you have your say as this will help to create safer night-time environments in your local community.
There’s a lot of rowdy behaviour around Biss Meadows and Trowbridge Park in the evening. Additionally, you could get high just by walking past the cannabis smoking fraternity. I don’t feel safe in the evening walking my dogs unless I am with someone else. This should not be happening. Trowbridge is very down at heel and scruffy and consequently invites the selfish, law abusing and disrespectful youth of today. We are constantly being subjected to ghetto blasters under the bridge crossing Broadcloth Lane. Groups gather up on the ridge under the bridge and I feel threatened. No point in telling the police. They are overworked and understaffed.
We are sorry to hear your concerns. If the police are unaware of issues that you have described then they are unable to use their resources to help prevent them from happening, so we would urge you to contact them and/or complete the survey above. You can contact the police in many different ways such as by phone or online: https://www.wiltshire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/. If you feel the matter is urgent then we would encourage you to contact 999. You can also contact your local council representatives, their details can be found on our website or you can email info@trowbridge.gov.uk. Thank you for taking the time to contact us
