Trowbridge Town Clerk, Lance Allan rode from London to Paris in the middle of September to raise funds for Myeloma UK.
He set off from Blackheath in Greenwich on Thursday 15th with 124 other charity cyclists, including 12 Myeloma patients. Lance was undertaking the epic ride in memory of his good friend Richard who passed away only 4 months after being diagnosed in 2019. Lance was accompanied on the ride by Henry, Richard’s son. After riding 300 miles via Folkestone, Calais, Abbeville and Beauvais they arrived in Paris flanked by motorcycle outriders and an official escort, finishing at the Eiffel Tower on the evening of Sunday 18th. Lance has raised over £1,500 and together the group of riders are hoping to make the total £250,000 to help tackle this rare form of blood cancer. Lance said, “It was a real privilege to be able to undertake this journey alongside those who have lost friends and relatives, those undertaking treatment and those working in the pharmaceutical industry helping to find cures.” If you can help please follow the following link: https://justgiving.com/fundraising/lance-allan-2023
